Burley, ID (April 24, 2024) – Before 4:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, Cassia County Deputies and Medics and Burley Fire were dispatched for a two-vehicle crash at 411 East Highway 81 in Burley.

Once law enforcement and first responders arrived, they located two vehicles that had crashed head-on, and one vehicle had caught fire. Responding deputies freed the drivers from their vehicles and moved them to a safer location. At least two people succumbed to their injuries on the scene, though it's unclear how many people were taken to a local hospital. The names of the individuals involved in the accident are not being released at this time, pending family members' notification.
