Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in Idaho

Boise, ID - Child Dies After Pedestrian Crash on Gowen Rd

Throughout the state of Idaho, there has been a serious increase in pedestrian accidents, and the fact that these incidents have the strong potential to be deadly or to result in serious harm to those involved simply adds insult to injury. A pedestrian accident occurs when a car, bike, or even scooter strikes a person on foot. The person on foot often takes the brunt of the impact since there is no buffer to protect them.

Even while it would appear clear that a car's driver is liable for these incidents, other people could also be at fault. For example, the manufacturer or the service provider of a vehicle may be at fault if a faulty part causes a driver's brakes to fail. Holding local authorities responsible for issues like poorly lit roadways or insufficient maintenance is also possible.

Regardless, pedestrian accidents may result in a variety of injuries. Typical injuries sustained in these incidents are as follows:

  • Traumatic brain injuries
  • Back or spinal wounds
  • Joint and muscle pain
  • Bone breaks and fractures
  • Superficial injuries and cuts, such as bruises

Even worse, due to their increased vulnerability, children and the elderly often sustain more serious injuries in these incidents, making the aftermath of these accidents even more difficult and frustrating to cope with. Thankfully, our knowledgeable pedestrian accident attorneys at Attorneys of Idaho are here to help and counsel you throughout the process of a claim, ensuring you know your rights and choices.
