Ucon, ID (April 2, 2024) – Idaho State Police are investigating a vehicle collision that happened on westbound U.S. Highway 20 at milepost 315 close to Ucon on April 1, on Monday morning.

According to local authorities, the incident occurred around 6:25 a.m. A 1991 Nissan truck, driven by a 67-year-old man from Rigby, was traveling west on U.S. 20 when it apparently collided with another vehicle and rolled over. A male passenger from one of the vehicles was seriously injured and taken to a neighboring hospital, though it's unclear if anybody else was hurt. For two hours, the eastbound lanes were closed. The Idaho Transportation Department and the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office provided support to the Idaho State Police, but officers are still investigating.
