Shoshone, ID (April 16, 2024) – Sheriff Rene King reports that at 9:25 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to mile marker 90 in the northbound U.S. Highway 75 lanes in response to a pick-up truck crash.

The cause of the incident is unknown at this time, but officers say the vehicles were traveling northbound along the highway when the collision took place. The police cordoned off the highway near the Shoshone Ice Caves. After airlifting one person to the hospital and assessing a handful of people at the scene, authorities cleared the area by 11:45 a.m. No further details have been provided, but an investigation is still ongoing.
