Pocatello, ID (October 8, 2024) – A teenager has died after a crash in Pocatello, according to local authorities on the scene. Per officers with the Pocatello Police Department, the incident happened around 7:00 p.m. on October 7 at the intersection of Satterfield Drive and Jerome Street. A teenage boy was driving a dirt bike, and a teenage girl was driving a pickup truck when the two collided.

Bannock County Coroner Torey Danner said the boy was taken by ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center, where he died Tuesday morning. Danner said the boy was 14 years old and from Pocatello, and he added that the teenager was wearing a helmet.  The crash remains under investigation by police. For around three hours, the area was blocked while authorities cleared the area and wrapped up their on-scene inquiry. No further details were released in the interim.
