Meridian, ID (June 3, 2024) – Authorities on Saturday, June 1, reported that at least one person was hospitalized after being involved in a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 84 westbound.

According to the Meridian Police Department and witness reports, the collision happened around 4:20 p.m., close to the Eagle Road exit. Authorities reported that at least two vehicles collided on the highway, backing up traffic for several miles. Officials added that at least one person was transferred by ground ambulance to an area hospital, while another person was assessed for injuries at the scene. However, no further details were released, and a portion of I-84 remained closed as investigators looked into the incident on Saturday evening.
