Melba, ID (April 21, 2024) – On Saturday night, a teen was killed, and two others were injured in a collision in Canyon County.
According to a press release from Idaho State Police, one motorist was driving a Ford F150 pickup truck at 8:40 p.m. when he approached the junction of Southside Boulevard with Melmont Road. The pickup then collided with a Toyota Camry, with a 44-year-old Melba man and a 43-year-old woman inside.
ISP troopers say the teen was in the pickup truck and was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two victims were transported to a local hospital, one by air ambulance and the other by ground. Their current conditions remain unknown, however. Following the crash, the intersection was closed for around three hours, but no further details were released. Police said that their investigation was still ongoing and asked witnesses to step forward in the meantime.
