McCammon, ID (April 5, 2024) – Two people were hurt on Wednesday morning after a semi-truck collided with a McCammon home's garage.

According to Idaho State Police, the incident happened around 7:15 a.m. when a truck driver was traveling west on Highway 30 in a Freightliner semi-truck carrying coal. The tractor-trailer left the north side of Highway 30 for unknown reasons, traveled 200 to 300 feet across a farm field, crossed East Merrill Road, and almost hit a house before crashing into a nearby garage. Per authorities, a couple was inside the house on the 1100 block of East Merrill Road, but it's unknown if they were hurt. EMTs took at least two people to an area hospital, including the driver, but an investigation is still ongoing.
