Idaho Falls, ID (October 23, 2024) – Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash that occurred in southern Idaho on Tuesday, October 22.

According to police, at approximately 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Idaho State Police troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on eastbound U.S. Highway 26 at milepost 340, north of Iona. A white Hyundai Sonata driven by a juvenile male collided with a blue Dodge pickup driven by a 28-year-old male from Rigby, Idaho, traveling westbound.

Both drivers succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash, though it's unclear if any injuries took place. The eastbound and westbound lanes of the highway were blocked for approximately five hours as emergency responders worked to clear the area. However, Idaho State Police are still investigating the collision and have not released any more information.
