Grangeville, ID (August 13, 2024) – Troopers with the Idaho State Police are investigating an injury crash that occurred on Tuesday at about 3:00 p.m. on Highway 14.

According to police, the incident occurred on the westbound side of Highway 14 at milepost 16.6, approximately 26 miles southeast of Grangeville. Extrication was needed to remove one of the drivers from their car, an 85-year-old Boise man, as well as one passenger, an 85-year-old female, also from Boise. Both victims were transported to a local hospital by ambulance. 

The highway was blocked for approximately 3.5 hours, and the Idaho County Sheriff's Office, Idaho County Fire and EMS, and Idaho Transportation Department assisted with the incident. Per ISP troopers, however, the investigation is ongoing, and no further details surrounding the cause of the collision have been released. Witnesses were asked to contact the ISP if they had additional information.
