Coeur d'Alene, ID (May 14, 2024) – A woman lost her life as a result of a fatal accident that occurred in the Coeur d'Alene area on Tuesday, May 14. State police were called to the scene of the accident at around 11:20 a.m.

Official reports indicate that a 45-year-old woman was driving a gray 2019 Ford Escape on US Highway 95 when her vehicle collided with a 2020 Volvo tractor-trailer near mile marker 379. The woman, who was from Pullman, Washington, sustained fatal injuries in the crash. She was pronounced deceased on site. The driver of the truck, a 31-year-old man from Toledo, Ohio, was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital with critical injuries. The accident is under investigation.
