Boise, ID (May 25, 2024) – Following a collision on State Highway 55 Friday afternoon, located close to Banks, the Boise County Sheriff's Office announced one person died.
At around 12:55 p.m., the office reported that they received a 911 call about a car that had collided with another vehicle and run off the roadway into a river. EMTs also transferred at least one person to an area hospital, but their current condition is unclear. According to the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD), the details and events leading up to the collision remain unknown, but the crash is still under investigation by ISP, and any witnesses were asked to get in touch.
