cars in city

Boise, ID (July 23, 2024) – Troopers with the Idaho State Police reported that a two-vehicle collision in Elmore County left three people dead on Sunday morning.

A 34-year-old Boise man was driving a Toyota truck north on Idaho Highway 167, close to Simco Road, with a 33-year-old Boise woman and a juvenile riding as passengers, according to an Idaho State Police news release. At about 9:55 a.m., the Toyota was involved in a crash with a southbound semi-truck driven by a 57-year-old man from Mountain Home, police said. All three people in the Toyota died at the scene. It’s unclear if anybody else sustained injuries in the accident, but EMTs were spotted at the scene to assess any other victims.

The highway was blocked for more than five hours, though Idaho State Police said they were continuing to investigate. However, no further details were released in connection with pending citations or charges, and witnesses were asked to come forward.

We offer our sincere condolences to the deceased victims’ family members. Our thoughts are extended to any injured victims and their loved ones.

Auto Accident Fatalities in Idaho

Fatal car accidents, especially those involving multiple drivers, can occur on any Idaho roadway, from urban streets to rural highways and higher-speed interstates. No matter the cause of the crash or location of the incident, if you were hurt or lost a loved one in an auto accident in Idaho, you may be entitled to compensation from the at-fault party.

When a victim dies as a result of the carelessness or wrongdoing of another motorist, a wrongful death claim may be made. In essence, it gives families a chance to be compensated for any financial losses due to their loss. This might include funeral and hospital expenses, as well as lost wages. It is difficult to deal with the loss and anguish of a loved one, particularly when such a loss occurs in an avoidable vehicle wreck. In addition to the psychological grief, families often experience lingering financial difficulties. You may be able to pursue legal compensation to ease your financial burdens if you think that the carelessness of another driver caused the death of your loved one.
