Chinden, ID (July 31, 2024) – The Idaho State Police were called to the scene of a head-on accident between two vehicles traveling on Interstate 20/26 near Chinden on Monday evening, July 29.
Troopers with the ISP said that the eastbound and westbound lanes of the highway were closed in Nampa between Can Ada Road and Star Road due to the accident, which involved an SUV and a pickup truck. As of 7:05 p.m., at least an hour after officers responded to the site, both sides of the roadway were still shut down. It’s unclear how many victims were taken to the hospital, but EMTs assessed at least two drivers at the scene. However, the police investigation remains active and ongoing in the interim, and no further details were released.
Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their family members.
Injury-Causing Crashes in Idaho
Even if you are not at fault, being involved in an auto accident is a stressful experience. The aftermath of a car crash is often a victim’s first experience dealing with insurance companies and attempting to get the recompense they deserve for injuries and other losses. Unfortunately, victims should generally anticipate a difficult, frustrating period of time to follow a major auto accident on a physical, emotional, and financial level.
Major vehicle collisions frequently result in high medical expenses, lost income, diminished earning potential, and a host of other psychological and physical ramifications, particularly in the event that you suffer serious or fatal injuries. The at-fault driver’s auto insurance provider typically fields the insurance claim after a wreck. However, if the injuries are severe, catastrophic, or even fatal, this might turn out to be significantly more challenging than victims expect. The insurance company represents the at-fault motorist; they do not represent you. To level the playing field and safeguard your entitlement to the damages you are due, you need legal representation.
Even if insurance companies don’t always operate carelessly or refuse to pay out to victims of auto accidents, the truth remains that, like all for-profit businesses, they do their best to maximize their bottom line and minimize the amount of money they pay out to victims.
