Rigby, ID (October 5, 2024) – Idaho State Police troopers say that a school bus driver was cited following a bus and car accident near 250 North and 3900 East in Rigby, according to a press release from Jefferson County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday.
According to the JCSO, the bus driver believed they had missed a stop sign and came to a stop before backing into a car. Students waited to be picked up by parents or transferred to another bus to continue their route, but an unknown number of injuries was reported in the meantime, and several victims were apparently assessed by EMTs who responded to the site of the incident. However, it's unclear how many were involved and what their conditions were in the interim. The crash remains under investigation, and witnesses were asked to come forward as soon as possible.
Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their loved ones. We hope for their complete recovery.
Multi-Vehicle Accidents in Idaho

Most of the time, motorists and their vehicles frequently share the road and arrive at their destinations without incident. Nevertheless, accidents are inevitable given the level of traffic on our roadways in modern times. Unfortunately, innocent victims may sustain injuries as a result of accidents caused by negligent or irresponsible drivers.
Thankfully, our staff at Attorneys of Idaho is experienced in handling collision damage. We understand that being paid won't make your experience or the agony of your injuries different. However, the best way to get justice for what you've gone through is to sue a negligent driver and get compensation via their insurance company. Should the necessity arise, your Boise car accident attorneys will do everything within their power to enable you to negotiate and pursue damages for the injuries you sustained adequately.
The allocation of fault in Boise is based on percentages, and comparative fault regulations allow you to be compensated even if you had any involvement in the accident. If an evaluation reveals that you bear fifty percent or more of the blame, you will not qualify for reimbursement. Nevertheless, following a collision, you should always consult with an experienced lawyer, even if you believe you are partially at fault.
