Post Falls, ID (September 20, 2024) –  An accident involving multiple vehicles in Idaho is believed to have been caused by a Tesla that failed to stop at a local intersection, per the latest reports provided by the Idaho State Police.

The accident happened around 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, in Post Falls at the intersection of 14th Ave and Spokane Street. The ISP report states that a 2023 Tesla Model 3, driven by a 22-year-old female from Stafford, Texas, failed to stop at a stop sign. The Tesla was traveling westbound and was struck by a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee going through the intersection.

After being struck by the Jeep, the Tesla continued through the intersection and hit two more vehicles, including a Chevy Silverado truck and a Chevy Tahoe SUV, parked in a residential driveway on 14th Avenue. The Tesla ended up partially on top of the Tahoe, and some damage to the home property was reported. However, troopers are still investigating the accident, which involved four vehicles and sent four people to the hospital, including two juveniles. No further details were released in the interim.
