Pocatello, ID (September 25, 2024) – According to police, students from more than 40 children on a School District 25 bus were possibly injured in a Tuesday afternoon collision with a vehicle that failed to yield at a stop sign.
Per officers with the Pocatello Police, the collision occurred around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of East Halliday Street and South Eighth Avenue when the driver of a black Chevrolet Equinox failed to yield at a stop sign while traveling east on Halliday, police said.
The driver of the Equinox collided with an occupied school bus that was traveling south on South Eighth Avenue at that time, police confirmed. However, it was not immediately clear how many vehicles were involved in the wreck, and the total number of injured victims was also unknown. No other updates concerning the wreck were released, but an investigation is ongoing.
Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their loved ones. We hope for their complete recovery.
