Wrong-Way Accidents in Idaho
Head-on collisions, severe injuries, and fatalities are all potential outcomes of a motorist driving the wrong way on the road. As you may expect, head-on crashes are among the most severe types of auto accidents, as both vehicles typically travel at high speeds and collide directly. Of course, wrong-way accidents are no exception, as each accident on the roadways involves unique circumstances and facts.
Moreover, specific causes of wrong-way accidents are observed more frequently. Texting and driving is one form of distracted driving that can result in a motorist veering into the wrong lane, for example. Every year, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that texting and driving is responsible for over 2,800 fatalities in the United States.
