Fruitland, ID (October 14, 2024) – A two-vehicle accident involving a semi-truck and a mail delivery van happened in the Fruitland area, heading towards Parma, on Monday, October 14, and is now under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
The left lane of Interstate 95 through Fruitland was blocked for at least an hour as authorities cleared the scene and began their on-site investigation. According to early reports, a tractor-trailer and a mail van were involved in the collision, though it's unclear how the incident took place. EMTs and fire rescue squads were also dispatched, but the total number of injuries was also unknown. An investigation remains ongoing in the meantime; ISP troopers asked any witnesses to reach out.
Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their loved ones. We hope for their complete recovery.
Truck Accidents in Idaho

Given the power and weight of trucks, tractor-trailers, 18-wheelers, and semi-trucks, a collision involving one of these vehicles can be catastrophic and occur in the blink of an eye. And, unsurprisingly, severe and lifelong injuries typically result from a crash involving one of these vehicles. Of course, these kinds of injuries impact both the victim affected directly and their family's financial situation.
Additionally, the effect of a truck accident on one's financial stability is catastrophic. Both lost wages from employment and medical expenses are common, while more serious accidents tragically result in funeral costs and lost services. Thankfully, with the right legal counsel, a victim or their family can recover these losses, and loved ones may be able to secure compensation for loss of consortium or services rendered to the household by the deceased.
