Boise, ID - Rollover Collision w/Injuries on I-184 at Cole Rd

Posted by Attorneys of Idaho | Nov 24, 2024 | 0 Comments

Boise, ID (November 24, 2024) – According to officers with the Boise Police Department and eyewitnesses, a rollover accident on Interstate 184 involving a white sedan and a black pickup truck occurred Saturday evening, November 23, near the exit to Cole Road and Boise Towne Square.

Emergency responders were called to the scene around 7:20 p.m. after fielding reports of the crash. Authorities say both vehicles overturned after colliding, though the exact cause of the accident remains under inquiry. Traffic was briefly backed up in the area as crews worked to clear the scene, but police are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident and have not yet determined if alcohol or speed were factors. The total number of victims injured in the collision was also unclear. That said, while no other updates concerning the wreck were released, officers asked any witnesses to contact them as soon as possible.

Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their loved ones. We hope for their complete recovery.

Serious Car Accidents in Idaho

Car accidents on major freeways in Boise, Idaho, are a significant safety concern, as increasing traffic volumes and high-speed conditions create dangerous situations for drivers. Interstates 84 and 184, which run through Boise, are particularly prone to accidents, with incidents often involving speeding, distracted driving, or impaired drivers. What's more, weather conditions, including winter snow and icy roads, also contribute to a higher risk of collisions during the colder months. Legal liability in accidents on these major freeways can be complex, particularly when multiple parties are involved, such as other drivers, commercial vehicle operators, or even local municipalities, if road conditions or infrastructure issues play a role.

Additionally, Idaho operates under a comparative negligence system, meaning that fault can be shared among the parties involved, which can complicate personal injury and wrongful death claims. Victims of accidents or their families may face significant hurdles when seeking compensation for medical bills, property damage, or loss of life, as insurance companies and defendants often attempt to minimize their liability.

Thankfully, our team at Attorneys of Idaho knows how to handle the aftermath of a crash. We are aware that receiving compensation will not erase the reality of the car accident that occurred or heal your injuries. Nonetheless, we can help you secure justice and ensure that you are fairly compensated by the insurance company representing the liable party in your vehicle collision.
